I can’t get enough Leona Naess

As the author would say, “Presented without comment.”

When I am making the kind of living from my writing that Neil Gaiman does from his (which is to say, any kind at all), perhaps I shall tell you then that people need to lighten up about copyright. Until then, I kind of think all this “culture must be free!!!1!!!111!!!” stuff ain’t particularly convincing.

House Kills SOPA | Examiner

newsweek:

utnereader:

infoneer-pulse:

In a surprise move today, Representative Eric Cantor(R-VA) announced that he will stop all action on SOPA, effectively killing the bill. This move was most likely due to several things. One of those things is that SOPA and PIPA met huge online protest against the bills. Another reason would be that the White House threatened to veto the bill if it had passed. However, it isn’t quite time yet to celebrate, as PIPA(the Senate’s version of SOPA) is still up for consideration.

And for some reason the guy doesn’t even mention Jesus

Sigh, Amazon commenter world. Sigh.

Plato’s Republic is one of the most religious works ever devised. The arguments therein became an integral part of the development of Christian thought in the west. Therefore, the person who wrote this is an idiot. QED.

That’s one of my favorite quotes from that book. Also, you should read it.

My desire to see Like Crazy may not be congruous with the simplicity of the story, and yet there is something about this film, as communicated through the trailer–something that it hints at, that it whispers to all our desires to understand the difficulties of love; and it is maybe for all these unspoken reasons that I find myself thus compelled. Now, however, I am looking forward to seeing because it will be with someone for whom I have a great suspicion is wonderful & brilliant in ways I have yet to discover.
