For all his prosaic power, I really have to disagree with Foer on this one. I think he’s confusing cold, hard facts with truth. The truest things, which is to say, those things that never pass out of being, never came into being, and always are, are necessarily the most beautiful. Truth is beauty, and the reverse is equally true.
